Product Owner Advanced
Level up your ownership
Agile Product Management is a fantastic, but also complex field and while a training course like Professional Scrum Product Owner is a good starting point, the role goes beyond the Scrum Framework.
In the Professional Scrum Product Owner – Advanced we look at the Stances of the Product Owner: How do you become a more effective visionary, customer representative, researcher, decision maker, collaborator and influencer?
Detailed description of the training:
Of course you already know Scrum, but as a Product Owner you are increasingly running into questions like:
How do I deal with budgeting and finance?
I want to make my product bigger without the complexity of scaling frameworks
How do I demonstrate that I deliver value?
The difference between creating for a customer what they ask for and what they need
How can I grow my results?
Integrity as a Product Owner and saying “no”
Making better decisions
Experimentation, stakeholder management and innovation
Who should follow this training?
The Professional Scrum Product Owner – Advanced is particularly suitable for Product Owners and Agile Product Managers but also if you want to help these people grow, for example as a Scrum Master or supervisor.
During the course, many cases are worked on in a team context. By sharing your experience you learn together and from each other, how you can deliver the best value.
What will you learn?
The learning objectives of this training focus on improving the different attitudes (“stances”) of the Product Owner

Product Owner Essentials
Your start in Agile Product Management
Being a professional Product Owner encompasses more than writing requirements or managing a Product Backlog. Product Owners need to have a concrete understanding of all product management aspects, including but not limited to product ownership, that drives value from their products.
What you will learn
Over the 2 days, students will develop and solidify their knowledge of being a Product Owner through instruction and team-based exercises. The breadth of the role’s responsibilities in delivering a successful product will become more clear from an Agile perspective. Metrics are identified to track the creation of value and the successful delivery of the product to the marketplace.
The course is much more than just a set of slides and an instructor. In this course, students work on real-life cases with other classmates together as a team. This course is made up of discussions and hands-on exercises.
What will you learn?
Have a clear understanding of the mechanics of Scrum
Know how the Product Owner fits into Scrum
Successfully work with Scrum Teams and stakeholders
Effectively increase business agility

Who should follow this training?
The PSU training is perfect for anyone who works in or with a Product Team and wants to offer the best user experience. Previous participants include UX experts, Product Owners and Scrum Masters. It is important that you have at least 1 year of experience with Scrum and a passion for users and their experience with your product.
What will you learn?
We start with an exploration of Scrum and UX: what similarities exist between the UX mindset and how a Scrum Member works? We use real-life examples to identify bottlenecks in collaboration and discuss them with each other. At the end of the training, the gap between Scrum and UX is bridged and you are able to bring together the best of both worlds. The result? The best product!

Product Owner Discovery
Don't build efficiently, what should not be built at all!
User Experience (UX) thrives in the land of Discovery whereas Scrum teams often live in the land of Development. It seems like they speak a different language, use different tools, have a different mindset? Perhaps they have more in common than you may think.
It might be a challenge to integrate the two worlds, but the PSU training helps to overcome the gap between the two domains. Based on the work of Jeff Gotshelf, author of “Lean UX” and Scrum.org this training gives you tangible answers on how you can all “just get along”.
Detailed description of the training
Agile Product Management: all elements of Agile, from product vision to release planning
Product development: what is Emergent Software Development and what are Proto persona’s?
A dynamic Agile organization: learn how to make decisions using Evidence Based Management
Scrum Framework: a deep-dive into the framework, roles, events and how to integrate UX
People and teams: how do self managing teams work and how to keep a user-focus?
